William Hale, M.D. has over 30 years of clinical experience in mental health and mind-body medicine. He completed intensive training in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction through the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in 1994. Since then he has taught more than 35 eight week courses of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction for the general public or for staff of hospitals or mental health centers in Lawrence, Hutchinson, Ottawa, Olathe, Topeka, and Kansas City.
Dr. Hale graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. He also completed a two-year training program at Menninger in Biofeedback and Psychophysiologic Therapy. He was awarded a one year Fulbright Fellowship to India to research Ayurvedic medicine, the traditional medicine of India.
